Rhuddglyn to host June Coronet 2014

June 6-8, 2014
Their Highnesses of Avacal, Prince Toryn and Princess Evja, wish to invite the populace of Avacal and beyond to Their Coronet tournament to determine the new heirs of Avacal.

12:00 Invocation of the List – Immediately after, Coronet Tourney Begins

Immediately After List Close, Squires Tourney Starts (Starts with Introductions)
15 minutes after Squires Tourney, Knights Council

1:00 – 3:00 Archery Tournament

4:00-6:00 Arts &Science Meet and Greet, (Have questions about the Arts and Science, come prepared to talk about and show off your latest project with the rest of the Arts and Science community [A&S Beer Garden!])

4:30-5:30 Avacal Youth Championship Tournament Luc Fergusson shall have a successor he has served as champion for 2 years now. Avacal is not complete unless it is represented by all 5 champions!

5:00-6:00 Cut & Thrust Tourney (If lots of participants this activity can go until 6:45)
5:30-7:00 THIS IS DINNER TIME – make sure you eat
7:00 Court Begins with investiture of Tanist and Tanista

Note: There are activities which may conflict with the scheduled Coronet Tournament, when the finals of the Coronet Tourney are about to commence all other activities shall be paused and everyone encouraged to witness the final bought to determine the successors of the Coronets

21:00 Avacal Travel Cup (Proceeds going to the Avacal Travel Fund and Avacal Kingdom Bid)

Campground is located 32 km north from Hwy 1 on Hwy 36 about 30 minutes from Brooks AB. There is a convenience store/gas station & liquor store located 10 minutes away in Duchess. The site has one shower stall at $1.00 for 3 minutes, and tested drinking water available at a pump.
Power sites are available for a fee. They are first come, first served, no reservation but you can call (403) 362-3266 to double check.This is separate from registering for the event.
Pets are welcome BUT must be on a leash at all times and picked up after, Please!

From the West: take Hwy 1 East to Brooks AB, and turn left (North) onto Hwy 36. Follow the directions at the *
From the East: take Hwy 1 West 5 km past Brooks and turn right (North) onto Hwy 36. Follow the directions at the *
From the South: take Hwy 36 North towards Hwy 1. Follow the directions at the *
*Drive 32 km North on Hwy 36 to Emerson Bridge Campground, a left turn BEFORE crossing the Red Deer River.
From the North: take your best route to Hanna, AB, turn South onto Hwy 36 and continue 81 km, CROSS the Red Deer River and turn right into the campground. WATCH FOR SIGNS! Maps to be posted shortly…
